New Year, New Adventures
Sometimes I feel like Bigfoot. I show up, stomp around, then disappear back into the mists, not to be seen for some time.
I haven’t been great about keeping the Campfire burning through the winter months, but I wanted to at least slide into your inbox with a sincere “Thank You.”
I appreciate every one of you, whether you’re brand new or a long-time visitor, know that you’re welcome at the Campfire.
There’s a lot of good stuff coming up this year, and I’ll be around a little more often, mostly talking about cryptids — those bigfoot-like critters who inhabit the hidden hollers and long shadows of the world.
Thanks again for being around, and I’m looking forward to share stories with you this year.

New Releases!
Murder of an MVP from Cryptic Killers
I do a lot of game writing, but I don’t get to talk about it very much. I’m usually under an NDA, meaning that even when I emerge from months of work, and as much fun as it is to see it in the world, I don’t get to brag about it.

Love Spell #3 is Out
I’m continuing to assist Jonathan Luna with his Love Spell series, and it’s been a fascinating journey. I’ve learned a lot about visual storytelling, structuring a series, and the different ways to approach the comics medium. Love Spell #3 is the latest release.
Short Story Re-Release
“Bad Day at the Blood Bank” is a re-package of my short story “The Lobster Trick” that appeared in Once Upon the Longest Night anthology.
I’ve been learning and experimenting with self-publishing, with a long-term goal of finding a distribution path for the next Carter Archives book. I learned a lot with this one, from tweaking the title to laying out the cover, and got to play around with ad copy.
