Hello, Camper!
It’s that spookiest time of year, when all us weirdos who love ghost stories can blend in with the normals. I hope you’re having a great time in the lead-up to Halloween, and that all your nights are delightfully spooky.
I had a great time doing a little freelance work, creating write-ups for how to make a Flamethrowing Pumpkin that sends out a burst of flame on demand, as well as a kerosene-soaked, long burning Flaming Pumpkin.
Behold these particularly pyrotechnic pumpkins!
Also, a huge ‘Thank You!’ to everyone who responded to my call for suggestions for the Campfire. I compiled the responses on Substack and in direct emails, and your thoughts were tremendously helpful.
As of now, we’re sticking with our regularly-scheduled campfire stories and thoughts on storytelling. It will also include news of new releases, etc.
BUT!
We’re also creating a separate list, perfect for anyone who doesn’t have time to scroll through a monthly email or would prefer not to get campfire smoke in their eyes. This Just the (Dan) Facts mailing will only go out when there’s news to know.
What does this mean for you?
If you want all the regular Campfire goodness, along with news updates, you don’t have to do anything — you’re already in the right place.
If you want to get the Just the Facts version, hit Reply and let me know — I’ll do some behind the scenes magic, and you’ll be switched!
Thanks again for sticking with me as I find a way to keep the information flowing. If you have any questions/comments, reach out and let me know. Otherwise, I’ll see you around the Campfire next month!
Dan
Great pumpkins! Did you carve them too?
